We grew up teaching ourselves everything online, and realized most e-learning was broken. So we built a platform to fix it.
Why we built Nesoi
We're twenty-somethings from outside America who taught ourselves almost everything online. YouTube tutorials, MOOCs, free PDFs, forum threads at 2 AM. We know what it feels like when online learning works, and we know how rare that is. Most e-learning is a slideshow with a voiceover and a quiz at the end. It's built to check a box, not to teach.
We're researchers from Mila and the University of Toronto—the birthplaces of modern AI and deep learning—where we worked alongside Nobel Prize and Turing Award winners like Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio. We studied how people actually learn: how attention works, how memory consolidates, what makes the difference between content someone finishes and content someone forgets. We realized the gap wasn't knowledge. The tools were the problem. Educators and trainers know their material cold, but they don't have the production skills, the budget, or the weeks of development time that great learning content demands.
So we built Nesoi: a platform that lets anyone create the kind of learning experiences that used to require a full production team: interactive, adaptive, multilingual, beautiful. In minutes instead of months.
